libgdb-dev software package provides The GNU Debugger (libgdb.a), you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgdb-dev
libgdb-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgdb-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgdb-dev *
You will get with libgdb-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
